Pouring beneath waterPouring beneath watergoldilocks (Laptop) (OP) 9 Oct 01 10:52I’m about to take my first stab at pouring a footer about 2-1/2 ft under the water desk. And as at all times, I do not actually know what I am doing. Can anyone supply useful recommendation? 1) I perceive that concrete will harden beneath water, however does that cut back its power? would it not assist to line the ditch with plastic sheeting? Or is that not obligatory? 2) Does a footer have to be wider beneath water than if it have been in dry floor (as a result of the soil is just not as compacted, I assume)? 3) Is it frequent observe to deliver such a footer up above the water desk earlier than constructing on it (I might be placing a ten’ excessive poured wall on it)? That may make it simpler to do the wall, however I’d have a REAL thick footer. Thanks for any help– -G
